Running Your Box Office: Box Office Advice

This section will provide you with information about:

Tickets

Each ticket comes in three parts. The main ticket and the stub next to it are what you give to the customer. You keep the stub closest to the bind in the book and circle the relevant price on all the stubs so that, when adding up your figures, you can check that they all add up correctly.

When do you receive your tickets?
* Please note that we are not providing tickets for the 2021/22 season *

Tickets should be with you 6 weeks before the show date. Make sure you return your Publicity Form in plenty of time to ensure you receive your tickets on time. We will send you a Box Office Pack with your tickets.

Box Office Pack
The Box Office Pack contains:

Tickets; * Please note that we are not providing tickets for the 2021/22 season *
Ticket Sellers' Notes (brief description of the show to help your ticket sellers);
Advance Sales Form (to help you keep track of who has what tickets);
Event Details (contact details of the company so you can arrange food, get-in, etc. The company will also receive one with your contact details on);
Returns Form (financial figures - you keep one and send us a copy);
Show Report Form (helps us with our evaluation and gives you the chance to put down on paper your praises or moans).

A 'Travelling Audience'
Companies that have a large following may mean that you get enquiries from people from outside your village. We call these 'travelling audiences' and we will let you know to expect these when you book the show. It's important to welcome newcomers into your village, but also make sure that your village gets the opportunity to see the show too.

Why not try to:

• Set a certain amount of tickets aside for your locals (or vice versa)
• Ensure that 'travelling audiences' pay you by cheque before you guarantee them a ticket.
